Sometimes that's just how it goes. I won't pretend to know more than I do.

The pollen parent is where the story lives. "Michelle" x "Zara" is the inverse of the more widely traded of Dr. Block's earlier mass-releases, and I found it at a roadside nursery off Krome Ave in Miami, summer 2023, tucked in among the orchids and platycerium like nobody wanted it. It still had the old 'Nurturing Nature' tag on it, QR code and all, long since defunct - a little relic of the generic 'Doc Block' era that flooded everyone's shelves mid-COVID. A cast-off, basically, and I love it for that.

But the plant itself earns its keep. Deep red-pink emergents, gorgeous veination, and it all traces back to Tim Anderson's 'Wonder Boy,' the likely selfed parent sitting behind both halves of the "Michelle" x "Zara" cross. Good bones don't care how you found them.
