It throws wondrous emergent colors onto its offspring with real consistency, and the plant itself is large and vigorous, carrying that Tim Anderson knack for making something amazing out of species inputs nobody can quite pin down.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"Ketchup Socks\" is the pollen parent, named by MalMal after a joke told during a live sale, which is as good a reason as any. It's a red crystal cross (by way of magnificum and \"Greige\") bred by Phil Iloo, and it's the plant I go to when I want red emergent leaves that actually hold their anthocyanin in the venation long after the leaf hardens.
