I picked this one up from Tezula back in summer of 2022, bred by another Justin down in Tampa who left seed at SKG - I liked the name enough to buy the seedling sight unseen, and it has since become one of my most prolific breeders, statement plant included. The actual hybrid underneath is (crystallinum x magnificum) x subsignatum, and it carries those sublet subvelvet traits into pretty much everything I put it with. I've made more than 15 unique crosses off this plant at this point, and each batch has gone its own way.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis time the pollen parent is Anthurium forgetii, a species I'll admit isn't doing much for me in the sinus department, but there's something to a wall of its leaves, veins all tracking back to a single point, staring at you like it couldn't care less. Forgetii tends to hand down a bluer cast and a dimpled, almost reptilian texture to whatever it's crossed with, so I'm curious to see how much of that survives being filtered through Justin's subvelvet leanings.
