It sits upright instead of sprawling the way paps tend to, and throws a copper-green emergent that looks like a penny mid-oxidation. Bill at SKG and Daryl of Tezula made this cross using two of Rory Antolak's wild-collected clones, so the genetics behind it are about as solid as they come. It speaks for itself, mostly because I keep saying so.

The pollen parent, "Colon pap," was a gift from my friend Jill, given at a point when I needed rebuilding more than I needed plants, and I haven't forgotten it. The name comes from Panama's Colón Province, a coastal pap from the Caribbean side of the divide, and a fine ambassador for the species in its own right. Putting these two together felt less like an experiment and more like an obligation.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0567/1734/4823/files/cb290864-fc1b-4390-9a40-1214203aa516.jpg?v=1783985668
