The seed parent came to me as a seedling from Grant Abadal, and it took its sweet time getting to maturity, but this past year it's been throwing some nicely-veined offspring that made the wait worth it. I'll be honest with you, I couldn't tell you a single thing about what aff besseae "Spider" actually looks like. No idea. But whatever it's doing in there, it's working.

This particular batch has already produced a plant or two you'll find elsewhere on this site, still seedling-size but maturing nicely, so I have some expectations here. The pollen parent was a Carnivero pickup from a few years back, from that stretch where they seemed to be pumping out one interesting hybrid after another. It combines the vigor and size of A. crystallinum with some of the muted venation of A. carlablackiae, and it's gone on to do good work in a few other crosses since it landed in the greenhouse. This is one more shot at that same magic, from the same pair of parents that already gave me something worth bragging about.
