The seed parent here is a Paul Marcellini cross, and I'll admit I bought it as a seedling largely because Big Black Block is fun to say - try it, you'll see. Fun name aside, it's a handsome plant in its own right, with blue-green emergents and venation that keeps your eye moving. Onto that I put pollen from regale, no more, no less. The pollen parent is a sturdy A. regale -a plant I still need to get a decent photo of. it's holding 5 leaves, all damaged by greenhouse fans!
