The seed parent comes from the good people at Carnivero, and it's the kind of hybrid that makes you remember why papillilaminum was ever the darling of the trade before everyone moved on to the next shiny thing. It kept the venation of crystallinum and borrowed the vigor and size from papillilaminum, and the result is sturdy, pretty, and prolific with seed, which is exactly the kind of plant you want sitting at the seed end of a cross like this.

The pollen parent is an ecotype of carlablackiae from Scott Cohen, though it came to me by way of Enid at NSE after I bought a seedling of it, killed it, whined about it, and got this one as a replacement - a fair trade, I think, since this one has thicker, louder veins than the muted version most people chase. Named, I believe, for a Heliconia person in Central America, which is a fun little detour for a genus that doesn't usually get named after people who aren't already deep in aroids. It's made some killer hybrids before, and I don't see why it would stop now.
