The seed parent is one of those plants that makes you look twice, then a third time. Eastern dressleri wears a flower nearly identical to true dressleri, winged petioles and all, and it grows the same way carlablackiae does, meristem pushing the petioles downward as it elongates so the leaves splay out like fanned solar panels, presumably a habit built for hillsides. But the foliage tells a different story than the flower does, if you give it those few extra seconds of attention. Rory Antolak is who brought this one to trade, as far as I know.

The pollen parent is a Phil Iloo cross I've been fond of for a while, carrying 'Tim's Black' almost to the letter with a clean spade-shaped leaf. It runs a seasonal gradient - cold months pull out the reds in the emergent color, warm months quiet that down and let the greens, beiges, and oranges take over instead. Putting a temperature-driven color-shifter onto a slope-adapted, flower-twin species felt like a fun collision to try, so here we are.
