The seed parent is one of mine, a few years old now, one of two I kept from a batch that otherwise went out wide at the IAS Expo in 2024 - if you were there and walked away with one, we're basically family. The aff besseae in its background only shows up as the faintest suggestion of veining if you go looking for it. Everything else is pure pap, no apologies.

The pollen parent came from a plant show table with a vendor I can no longer name and a lineage I can't reconstruct, just crystallinum crossed with aff besseae and left to be pretty, which it is. Huge emergent leaves in a green-copper that earns the attention, and the kind of patient, slow-building gestation that aff besseae seems to insist on no matter what you pair it with.

Putting the two together felt like a reasonable excuse to see what happens when heavy pap influence meets that besseae patience twice over. Early yet to say how it lands, but I like the odds.
