I don't have much to say about the seed parent beyond its name, which is a weight of its own - so I'll let it carry this one quietly and put my words where I have them.

The pollen parent I paid too much for at the IAS Show & Sale, September 2023, off the Doctor Jeffrey Block table. It sulked as a runt for a year, the way they sometimes do just to test your resolve, then took off once I stopped worrying about it so much. Now it's a proper mother plant, throwing emergent leaves that shift from a soft pink-brown to something closer to an arterial-wound red depending on the day's temperature and light. It's already lent itself to a few other crosses floating around the greenhouse, and I'm curious what it does here, paired with a name instead of a description.
