Anthurium ['Tim's Black' x ("Greige" x red crystal)] x [(SKG dressleri x Ree papillilaminum) x carlablackiae OG1x5]

The seed parent is one of my favorites out of Phil Iloo's work, a plant that took on 'Tim's Black' almost perfectly down to the spade-shaped leaf. It's a moody one, in a good way - cooler months coax out the bright reds we all chase in the emergent color, while warmer months stifle that just a touch and instead push it toward deeper greens, beiges, and oranges. An impressive gradient to watch shift with the seasons.

The pollen parent is my own doing, three favorite species mashed together into (SKG dressleri x Ree papillilaminum) x carlablackiae OG1x5. That batch was prolific to a fault, over 1,000 seeds from a single pod, and plenty of them went out the door as giveaways at the IAS Expo in 2025. This seedling is what happens when that gradient-chasing hybrid meets that three-species mutt. I'm curious which parent wins out first.
