carlablackiae "Tropicarla" is the seed parent here, and that's really all I've got to say about her - no notes on file, just a name and a job well done.

The pollen parent is my old "red crystal", grabbed years ago from A Roadside Nursery off Chrome Avenue in Miami, tagged simply as such with no fanfare. Its emergent is a soft red maroon, nothing to make the diehards swoon, but I've long suspected it sits somewhere along Tim Anderson's Wonder Boy lineage. I've kept it around anyway, not for its looks but for what it does in a cross - it's thrown some of the most prolifically mutated seedlings I've raised, and it's the same pollen parent behind "Googley Moogley". Genetic recombination at its finest, and this batch is its latest roll of the dice.
