The seed parent here is Carloc, or Karlach if you're one of my people. Another SKG special with a Tezula tag, bought off one of Bill's first live sales as a juvenile plant, and it has crushed every expectation I set for it since. It was a strange cross to begin with, since not too many A. warocqueanum crosses end successfully, and what it matured into isn't something I could have sketched in my head beforehand even if I tried. The most interesting thing it does is develop these puckered "hips" about a third of the way down the margins from the sinus, which pull an otherwise shield-shaped fat leaf into something closer to a slender trilobe. I love this plant. It's earned a heavy hand in what I breed going forward.
The pollen parent is a Chocolate crystal self, which came to me from Bill at SKG. Unsure what "Chocolate Crystal" lineage this one branches from, whether it is the populare lightning-veined aberrant form from some of the Ecuadorian nurseries or a secret new thing.
