("Cinnamon Swirl" x 'Tim's Black') x Wonder Boy A
This one's got Tim Anderson on both sides of the family tree, which is really just a fancy way of saying I couldn't resist. The seed parent is another Phil Iloo creation, taking two legacy plants and mashing them into something that's unmistakably Phil's own while still faithfully carrying Tim's name forward. Phil doesn't ship, and I'm not in Miami often enough to make a habit of pestering him, so Aaron at Urban Leaf Shop tracked this one down for me as a small seedling. Two great guys, both worth seeking out if you haven't already.
The pollen parent came from Scott Cohen some years back, and whether it's original Wonder Boy material or a self, I honestly couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is that it throws some genuinely wondrous emergent color, and it passes that along to its offspring without much fuss. Large, vigorous, and every bit the product of Tim's long habit of turning obscure species inputs into something worth talking about.
Put the two together and this seedling emerges cinnamon-y, just like the name promises, and hardens off into this zebra-striped venation that keeps popping up across Tim's different lines. If I had to bet, I'd say 'Wonder Boy' is tangled up somewhere further back in this one's breeding too. Wouldn't be the first time these lines all led back to the same place.
