The seed parent is magnificum x Ace of Spades, and that's really all I've got on it - no notes, no story, just a name on a tag and a plant that did its job.

The pollen parent is more talkative. Michelle x Zara is the inverse of the more widely traded of Dr. Block's earlier mass-releases, found at a roadside nursery off Krome Ave in Miami, summer 2023, tucked in among the orchids and platycerium like it had wandered off from somewhere important. It still wore the old 'Nurturing Nature' tag, QR code long dead, the kind of relic that dates a plant better than any label ever could. A cast-off from the generic Doc Block era of the mid-COVID plant craze, which is a strange thing to say about something this good.

What ties the whole cross together is Tim Anderson's 'Wonder Boy', likely selfed somewhere back in the lineage of both the seed and pollen donors - which probably explains the deep red-pink emergents and the veination on this one. Sometimes the family tree loops back on itself, and you get something worth keeping an eye on.
