The seed parent here is the inverse of the more widely traded of Dr. Block's earlier mass-releases, found at a roadside nursery off Krome Ave in Miami, summer 2023, tucked among orchids and platycerium like nobody meant for it to be found at all. It still carried the older 'Nurturing Nature' tag, the one with the now-defunct QR code, back before things got colorized and branded. A cast-off from the generic Doc Block era of the mid-COVID plant craze, if we're being honest about it, but a fun novelty nonetheless.

The plant itself doesn't act like a cast-off. Deep red-pink emergents, real veination, likely owed to Tim Anderson's 'Wonder Boy' sitting behind both the seed and pollen donors used to make it - selfed, probably, which explains a lot. I crossed it with red crystal. That's the whole story on the pollen side, no notes, no drama, just pollen doing what pollen does.
