This is one of those crosses where I just wanted to see what would happen if I let the mother plant loose on something with real Tim Anderson pedigree behind it. The seed parent I paid too much for at the IAS Show & Sale back in September 2023, from Dr. Jeffrey Block's booth, and she sulked as a runt for a year before deciding, all at once, to become a proper mother plant - her emergent leaves swing from a soft pink-brown to an arterial-wound red depending on the day, and she's already thrown a few other hybrids around the greenhouse. The pollen parent is a Phil Iloo creation, "Cinnamon Swirl" x 'Tim's Black', two pieces of Tim's legacy mashed together with Phil's own spin on top. Phil doesn't ship, and I'm not in Miami enough to make a habit of asking, so Aaron at Urban Leaf Shop tracked this one down for me as a small seedling. Both good guys, worth seeking out.
The result emerges cinnamon-colored and hardens off into that zebra-striped venation that keeps popping up along Tim's different lines - if I had to bet, I'd say 'Wonder Boy' is in there somewhere, tangled up in the ancestry of both parents.
