This seedling carries the legacy of its seed parent, "Red Velvet Cake" x "Zara," itself a hybrid known for emergent leaf coloration ranging from soft pink-brown to arterial-wound red depending on temperature and light. From its pollen parent, Anthurium magnificum "Mickey," it descends from a storied ecotype with roots tracing back some 80 years, once grown by Miami orchid grower Mickey Carmichael and later propagated by Enid Offolter of NSE Tropicals. Together, these lineages bring both a history of striking color expression and a deep, well-documented heritage within the magnificum complex.
