[(SKG dressleri x magnificum) x papillilaminum "Ft Sherman"] x carlablackiae "Tropicarla"

This one starts with a plant I still think about fondly - the (SKG dressleri x magnificum) x papillilaminum "Ft Sherman" I bought from Bill on my first ever visit to Silver Krome Gardens, timed about as poorly as possible, right after an IAS Show & Sale when the man was clearly running on fumes. I followed him around his greenhouses anyway, giddy, asking questions, pointing at things, generally being the exact kind of customer a tired person doesn't need. He drove me around regardless and dutifully answered everything. I did pay him, for what that's worth. Thanks, Bill.

That plant is a "Velvet Giant" cross, and paired with pap Ft Sherman it throws a maroon-brown emergent that settles into a green-brown leaf surface with real velvet to it. It's also just a big plant, no way around that.

Onto that I put pollen from Anthurium carlablackiae "Tropicarla." No history to report there, just the name on the tag and the hope of what these two put together.
