Wonder Boy A x (Justin x aff besseae "Big Bess")
Scott Cohen handed me the seed parent some years back, and whether it's true Wonder Boy material or a self of it, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that it throws wondrous emergent color into its offspring like it's nothing, and it does so while being large and vigorous, carrying on Tim Anderson's habit of pulling something amazing out of species nobody's quite pinned down.
The pollen parent is one of two keepers from an early Justin batch, held onto for its wide sinus and prominent veins. It's proven to be a strong parent plant in its own right, and I'm grateful its receptive spadix smells pleasant rather than borrowing the mothball funk aff besseae is known for.
This cross sits tall, about 3 feet at maturity, and the seedlings should follow suit. Magnificum genetics are hard to suppress, and I wouldn't want them to be.
